Carlo Abrams
President
Blue Chips HR Consulting

Prior to establishing Blue Chips H.R. Consulting, Mr. Abrams worked for the Boston Public Schools as a teacher/coordinator in alternative education. He was promoted to the position of Recruitment Specialist and later advanced to Human Resources Recruitment Team leader where he managed a department and directed district wide recruitment efforts. Under his direction, the district fulfilled a long-standing Federal Court mandate for minority staffing. In addition, the district satisfied a Superior Court mandate requiring hiring special education staff.

Mr. Abrams is an Advisory Member to The National Minority (Culturally Diverse) Career in Education Expo, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Christian Economic Development Association Inc. (CEDA). In addition, in partnership with Whittier Health Center Mr. Abrams organizes and presents at health seminars that promote Men’s health in the Boston Community and he is a Human Resources Facilitator/Administrator for Revive, a faith-based transitional/residential program that accommodates and rehabilitate men who were previously incarcerated or homeless.

 

Rev. Gerald E. Bell
Senior Pastor  - Strong Tower Church

Reverend Bell has held various positions within the financial services industry, which include mortgage and commercial lending, bank operations and insurance. This experience was invaluable as he co-founded and currently serves as President and director of two faith based not for profit corporations -Put faith to Work and Strongtower International Ministries.

Reverend Bell currently serves as Chairperson of Economic Development of the Black Ministerial Alliance of Greater Boston. As an Executive of this organization Pastor Bell has chaired the Housing Committee, in addition to serving as a mayoral appointment to Boston Connects Inc., the Federal Empowerment Zone Designee. Mayor Thomas Menino appointed Rev. Gerald E. Bell to contribute to the 2004 Leading the Way II City of Boston Housing Initiative.

In July 2001, Reverend Bell traveled to Africa with the Swiss based, Christian Solidarity International, as a representative of the American Anti- Slavery Group; he assisted in the redemption of more than 6,700 Southern Sudanese slaves. As an American Baptist Minister, Pastor Bell and his wife Cynthia led a Mission Explosion in Ghana West Africa in early 2005.

Reverend Bell is a former board member of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts.   Pastor Bell is an avid golfer, loves theater, art collecting and running. He completed the Boston Marathon in April 1997.

 

   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   

William E. Dickerson II, M.Ed, MA
Senior Pastor
Greater Love Tabernacle

Pastor William Dickerson was born in Newport News, VA and reared in Boston, MA. He is the founding pastor of Greater Love Tabernacle Church, which started in 1989. The ministry began with less than 5 adults and currently has a membership of several hundred adults. Pastor Dickerson has a very powerful and versatile ministry, which transcends all social, economic and educational levels. He is also the founder and president of Restoration Outreach of Boston, MA. This organization is designed to help hurting men and women through seminars, crusades, counseling and referrals.

He is a much sought after speaker in the areas of family issues, youth issues, male issues, leadership and church development. He provides counseling, encouragement and support to various church leaders. After completing an undergraduate degree he obtained a master degree in education with a major in counseling/psychology and a master degree in urban ministry.

Pastor Dickerson is the founder of the annual Family Conference, which has reached thousands of individuals, and families since 1994. The purpose of the conference is to educate, mobilize and inspire families in the greater Boston community. This conference brings together churches, social service agencies and health organizations to address the critical issues of our day.

He serves as a catalyst to bring together various groups of people. He has a heart for the hurting and disenfranchised of our society. He is a fine example as a father, husband and role model. He has been married to the same woman Luella for over twenty six years. Pastor Dickerson is the father of three and he lives in the Boston area.

He is the author of the very inspiring and revealing book titled “You Too Can Be Delivered”.

 

 

Dexter Jenkins
Financial Consultant,

Dexter Jenkins is a representative with Primerica Financial Services a member of the Citigroup Corporation. Since 1993 Dexter has helped hundreds of families get on the road to becoming Debt Free and Financially Independent.

Upon graduation from Northeastern University in 1991 Dexter accepted the position of Project Teamwork coordinator at the Center for the Study of Sport in Society at Northeastern University. Project Teamwork endeavors to promote radical equality and a violence free society. In 1993 Dexter was named director of that program. During his tenure Project Teamwork spoke to over 150,000 students and trained over 1000 students on race relations and conflict resolution.

Dexter has been a board member for the Christian Economic Development Association (CEDA) since 2006. CEDA is a multi-cultural, multi racial, interdenominational faith based financial concepts organization, which has a mission to increase individuals and organizations financial value through information, inspiration, relationships and resources.

Dexter is also the founder of Worship and Wealth ministries. Worship and Wealth ministry has a focus to inspire Christians to tangibly experience their covenant of wealth through faith and the implementation of sound financial principles.

He and his wife Kendra, live in Hyde Park, Massachusetts with their three children Danielle, Cameron, and Sydney.


Daniel G. McCarthy, ChFC, CLU

Dan has been the owner of Pension Concepts for sixteen years. Dan's practice focuses on designing and managing corporate retirement plans. He is dedicated to providing his clients with the most competitive combination of investment service, educational content and administrative excellence. Dan manages his plans together with a team of experts that delivers comprehensive financial planning services to all employees, regardless of job description or income. Dan graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in political science and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in philosophy. Dan enjoys staying fit by practicing martial arts and is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and won the bronze medal at the Pan Am Games in 2000. Dan lives in Needham with his wife Linda and their children Lauren, Nicholas, Owen, Gabriel and Aidan.

Antonio Parham

Leonardo Radomile
President
Put Faith to Work

Leonardo Radomile is the CEO of Put Faith To Work, a faith based entrepreneurship program. Put Faith To Work offers a twelve-week program (2 hrs. per week) that offers leading edge entrepreneurship training from a biblical perspective, supplemented by mentoring and peer support groups. Mr.
Radomile is a graduate of the University of Chicago and has spent over twenty years working with startups as a corporate attorney, venture capitalist and cofounder of a mutual fund management company. Mr. Radomile is currently finishing a Masters Degree at Harvard Divinity School.

 

Dr. Scott Schuh 
Pastor, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church of Wilmington, MA &
Senior Economist & Policy Advisor,
Federal Reserve Bank of Boston


Dr. Schuh has two decades experience as a professional economist, and has been active in ministry in the Boston area since arriving in 1997.

In addition to his work at the Boston Fed, he has worked as an Economist for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, a Research Associate for the U.S. Bureau of the Census, and a Staff Economist for President Reagan’s Council of Economic Advisers.  He has taught at the Johns Hopkins University and Boston College.  Schuh is best known for two influential books documenting how the processes of job creation and destruction are vital to understanding economic growth and business cycles.  As a macroeconomist and forecaster, he specializes in productivity, investment, and monetary policy.  Recently, he began studying consumer payment behavior and its relation to monetary theory.  His research is published in scholarly journals including the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, and the Journal of International Economics.

Schuh pioneered the Good News Live! cable TV program, a community-based evangelism effort in Wilmington, MA, from 1997-2001 while serving as an “unofficial, unpaid, part-time, associate pastor.”  Since 2003, he has served as an elder-pastor of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in the Woburn-Wilmington area.  He is also a member of the Board of Advisors of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary’s Center for Urban and Ministerial Education (CUME) in Roxbury.

Schuh earned a B.A. (economics and journalism) from California State University—Sacramento in 1985, and a Ph.D. and M.A. (economics) from Johns Hopkins University in 1992.  He was ordained as a deacon at Montrose Baptist Church in Rockville, MD in 1989, licensed to preach by Montrose in 1997, and appointed and affirmed as an elder-pastor of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Woburn, MA in 2003.

 


Bishop Gilbert A. Thompson
Senior Pastor
Jubilee Christian Church, Boston, MA

Bishop G. A. Thompson is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

He holds a BA degree from the Moody Bible Institute (1971), and a ThM degree from the Boston University School of Theology (1975).

He has been a pastor for over 30 years and now pastors Jubilee Christian Church (formerly New Covenant Christian Church), a powerful inner-city church in Boston, Massachusetts.  This church, founded by Bishop Thompson in 1982, has grown to be one of the largest congregations in New England with an active membership of over 5000 believers.

He was consecrated to the apostolic office of bishop (September 29, 1999) as a presbytery of bishops and pastors from several Christian denominations gathered to anoint him.

He is the Presiding Bishop over the network of churches called – Church Without Walls International.  The phrase: “A Church Without Walls” is the name of a vision God gave him to transform inner cities – spiritually, economically, socially, educationally, politically, and culturally by the power of God and community collaboration.

Bishop Thompson has authored several books and teaching manuals on doctrine and foundational truth. He and his wife, Yvonne, have been married since February 1967, they have eight children, and fourteen grandchildren.

 

 

Wayne Threatt

Mr Threatt has extensive financing experience from angel startup financing to venture capital to initial public offerings. Threatt has structured and negotiated a diversity of transactions: financings, acquisitions, divestitures and strategic alliances and captured millions of dollars in funding/financing for startups, spin-offs, buyouts. Recently he arranged a private placement for a high growth electronic consumer products company which exceeded $ 100 M in value. Threatt was responsible for the deal from conceptualization through close including sourcing capital, negotiation, deal structure and due diligence.

Mr Threatt has years of general management, marketing and business development experience in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments in industries that span the gamut from hardware and software technology to branded consumer goods.

He is a graduate of the University of Chicago (physics), University of Pittsburgh (MS Physics) and the Harvard Business School.

Andrew L. Ward
